New Book “Discussing Democratic Forums” Well Underway

On June 8 and 9 the WelfSOC research team met in Ljubljana to talk about their latest projects. As we already shortly noted in the June newsletter, the first book After Austerity will be published by Oxford University Press on 11 August 2017. Currently the team is working on their second book, which will discuss their research using innovative Democratic Forums in detail. The work shows how this approach contributes a much more detailed and nuanced picture of welfare state attitudes to that provided by conventional research methods. Further, the team discussed their plans for articles, a special issue of Social Policy and Administration​, papers for the ESPAnet conference in Lisbon in September and other activities. The team meeting has been organized by WelfSOC team members Maša Filipovič Hrast and Tatjana Rakar at the University of Ljubljana.
