FORTE supports the NORFACE Network as an observer.

The Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (FORTE) is a government agency under the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs that funds research on health, working life and welfare. FORTE provides funding for both basic and needs-driven research, ranging from individual project grants to larger efforts to build world-class research environments. FORTE also distributes funds with the aim of stimulating international research collaborations, both within the EU and worldwide. In addition to the financing of research, FORTE focuses on identifying areas with future needs for research and evaluating and analyzing research results in order to make these available to the public.
